Oscar Salazar

Born in California and raised in Leander, Texas, Oscar Salazar grew into one of Central Texas's most talked-about arms at Rouse High School — a two-way threat on the mound and at first base.

In 2024 he was voted the Austin American-Statesman's Player of the Year (Mr. Austin Baseball), named to the THSBCA 5A All-State Elite team, and selected to the All-Star Game at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

Now at Weatherford College, Oscar has settled into a high-leverage relief role for the Coyotes, posting a 2.57 ERA with a strikeout-per-inning pace and the poise to close out tight games.
